![]() But after rotating them in the Finder, even within Photoshop or Pixelmator they do not properly report their 2400 dpi resolutions anymore. ![]() I have just now finally figured out that the act of rotating them using command R is exactly what is causing this erroneous change from 2400 to 72 in their information in the Finder and I do not understand why or how to fix it. Even though they all blow up to the expected maximum actual viewing size and look great in Photoshop, it had me a little confused. I had made the observation a while back that for some reason a lot of my images end up reporting their resolutions in the Finder as 72 x 72 while others correctly show as 2400 x 2400. I have been scanning at a resolution of 2400 dpi one at a time and using the shortcut command R in the Finder to rotate the scans if necessary to change their orientation to landscape. I have been scanning thousands and thousands of 35 mm negatives using a wonderful Epson negative scanner for many months.
